Inspired by American style, Mr. F. took charge of planning the new construction himself. When it came to doors, he researched various manufacturers. Ultimately, however, the selection and advice at the DANA showroom in Vienna won him over. The PALAZZO model was quickly chosen, as “timelessly modern” was the homeowner’s vision. Choosing the design proved more difficult. From classic to flush doors to the eye-catching SWING—everything was carefully considered. The decision ultimately fell on SWING—throughout the entire house. It wasn’t primarily the space-saving features that were decisive; instead, they discovered many other advantages for themselves.

Advantageously different.

The ease of opening in both directions is pleasant and practical. Whether pulling or pushing—everyone can move through the bungalow just as they please. Since the doors in Mr. F.’s home are literally often left open, he was also won over by the beautiful, elegant overall appearance when the door swings to the side, can remain in any position, and doesn’t bump into anything. Even when closed, SWING creates
a harmonious look, as it appears the same from both sides.

Exceptional down to the last detail.

While experience shows that push handles are often chosen for the SWING, the homeowner deliberately opted for classic door knobs here. Since the SWING is the “standard door” in the bungalow, the family also wanted to pair it with “standard door knobs.” This often fascinates visitors as they enter a room. The fire door to the garage also blends perfectly into the overall look. Here, the family wanted the design to match the interior doors—no problem at all for DANA.
